Baby J is 19 Months Old

You are 19 months old now!! I can not believe it!

You love your brother! And want to play with him all the time! Whatever he is doing, you want to be doing it too!

You love your daddy too! Anytime the phone rings, he starts saying "Daddy! Daddy!" The same thing happens when the dogs bark at something outside. You think daddy is home from work and go running to the door!

You are getting big! You weigh 22 pounds and are 31 inches tall!

You moved up to some 18 month clothes, but still can wear 12 months too. Just not one piece outfits/jammies.

You are getting more picky with what you like to eat. It's a good thing you like the pediasure and drink 2 cans a day!

Over the past couple of weeks you have discovered how great books are! You ask to read books all the time now!

You have no interest in movie or tv. When Michael is watching something, you just a run around playing.

You love music and ask to listen to it all the time. And by ask, you point to the radio in the kitchen and start dancing. You are a great little dancer!

You love speech therapy, and Miss. Gina! You are making huge strides in your speech. You are up to more than 20 words! Your dr says you will probably get kicked out soon, since you are doing so well. But Miss. Gina says not if she can help it. She loves you!

Words you can say: Mama, Daddy, cheese, door, cracker, fish, no, yes, uh huh, doggy, juice, water, chair, ball, car, bubbles, shoes, poop, hat, cold, hot, more, boo-boo, what's that?, I don't know

You love to be outside! The sandbox is your favorite, but the wagon and car are a close second. You also love the trampoline, as long as Michael isn't jumping too big on it with you!

We have managed to get you to use your binky less and less. We don't ever have it out around the house and it stays strictly in your crib and diaper bag. Car rides you still use it, unless you are in a fantastic mood. We do let you have it at church, since that is still a pretty hard place for you.

Speaking do church, we have taken you out of nursery for the time being. You would have pretty good days in the nursery, but we discovered that on Sunday nights, you were having a really hard time going to bed. Lots of tears and not wanting mommy to leave the room, or even put you down. We decided the two were probably connected, and kept him out this past Sunday and bed time went a lot easier. No screaming!

You are such a cutie and you make us laugh all the time! We love having you as part of our family!

4 Months with Baby J

Baby J has been home for 4 months now!

He keeps us laughing, that's for sure!!

Generally, he eats great, but lately he has gotten a little picky.

He loves Michael so much and wants to be with him all the time! Michael is good about playing with him most of the time, but sometimes he wants to be left alone!

He got his first hair cut this month!! He did great! We left the curls, but cut the mullet!

He still loves the water and was really sad he couldn't go on the big water slides at the water park!

He has been in speech therapy for a month now, and is doing great! When he started he was only saying 5 words, but now he is up to 16!  He loves going and has so much fun while he is there!

He really couldn't care less about TV. Which makes me happy, but every once in a while he will sit with Michael while he watches a movie on his kindle.

He loves his mama! And I love him! But he also loves daddy! And funny enough, in the middle of the night, Andrew can get him to go right back to sleep, where if  I walk in, he thinks it is play time and doesn't want to go back to sleep.

He is my little daredevil! If he can climb it, he will. Then he will stand on it and jump off!

He has started reading books a lot lately. Up until this point, he has had zero interest in books.

He continues to be a blessing to our family! Some days are harder then other days, but I wouldn't trade the hard days for anything, if it meant not having him in our lives!

Michael Turns 6!

And just like that, we have a 6 year old!!
Time goes so fast! What I wouldn't give to have just one more day with Michael as a baby! But, it doesn't work that way, so we just enjoy this fun age!

This year for his birthday, Michael opted out of a birthday party in order to get a BIG present instead. So that's what we did! And boy did he get a big present!!

A NEW GO CART!!!

But let me back up a little and share how Michael spent his birthday weekend.

His birthday was on a Sunday this year, so we celebrated on Saturday and Sunday since he was a little bummed about spending a big chunk of his day at church.

Saturday morning we had to work, but not before going to grab a birthday donut!

Then after working for just a couple of hours, we all got ready and headed to the water park!

I didn't get many pictures, since we were in the water most of the time.

We all had a great time!

When we got home, it was time for Michael to open his BIG present!
We have had the big box sitting in our car port for a week, and it's been killing Michael to not know 100% what was in it. He was pretty sure it was a go cart, but every time he asked, we would tell him it was something different. We would say anything from diapers to books, to crayons, to a new refrigerator!

So when we got home, we asked if he wanted to finally see what was in the big box! He was so excited when he opened it! We took it straight out of the box and he took off in it!!

The only downside to the go cart, is that it needs to charge for 12 hours after rising it. And the charge lasts about an hour. So for a very excited 6 year old, waiting till the next day to ride it again, is very hard.

So Sunday morning, he was up bright and early ready to go for another ride!

After riding around the yard for an hour, it was time to go to get birthday breakfast! Michaels choice? Waffle House! This was our 4th year in a row eating at Waffle House for his birthday! What can I say, the boy loves a good waffle and bacon!

After breakfast we headed to church. Michael was a little bit bummed about having to go to church on his birthday, so we brought cupcakes for him to share in his class.

After church we went to the in-laws for lunch and more cupcakes!

Then it was time to open more presents!

He loved the marshmallow gun from aunt Abby and uncle Lonnie! (And J liked picking up all of the marshmallows).

When we got home from Greenville, he had one more present to open from J.
A new remote control car!!

After playing with his new car, we headed over to Grandma and papa's house for more cupcakes and presents!

But first a quick boat ride on papa's pond!

Blowing out more candles!!

He got some new Legos and Ninjago stuff from grandma and papa!

He had a great birthday weekend, and will be enjoying that BIG Present for many years!

We love you so much Michael, and are so proud of you!!

First Day of First Grade!!

Monday was Michael's first day as a first time grader!!

I am so proud of my big boy and pray he has an incredible year!

I know he will do awesome in first grade!

Have a great year Michael! You make us so proud!
