It's Official!!

On Wednesday, December 15th, in a court room in Birmingham, Alabama, Michael officially became Michael Weston Wolff! We did not need to appear in Court, since we met with the judge when we were in Alabama in August. To celebrate, Andrew and I, along with my parents went out to dinner to Cracker Barrel. Even though we have always felt like he was ours, it is nice to finally have all of the paperwork say the same thing.

Christmas Parade

I'm playing Blogger catch up!
A few weeks ago, Michael and I went to the Gaffney Christmas Parade with my parents and niece, Leilani. We had a lot of fun, but it was so cold!

Merry Christmas!

Can you guess what my favorite present is this year?
This morning I cried thinking how happy I am to have Michael. When we were trying to get pregnant, and then as we started the adoption process, all I wanted was to have a baby by Christmas. God is so good, and saw fit to bless us with a baby. I will forever be thankful for this precious gift He has given us!
I was looking through my blog posts from last Christmas and there was a picture of Andrew and I holding baby Elise. She was just a few weeks old. I had written "... Hopefully next year we will be holding a baby of our own."
Never could I have imagined how it all worked out, but this year we have our son, and there is no better gift on earth!

- Michael's first Christmas parade.
- Our adoption finalization day!
- Michael's first trip to Disney World.
- And of course, Michael's first Christmas!
There will be lots of pictures also.

Christmas Card

Merry Christmas!!
I love how our card turned out. I designed it myself on my digital Scrapbook program. I am especially excited that I got to include a picture of our precious son. Oh how we prayed to be blessed with a child, and God blessed us beyond what we had ever imagined.

I'm participating in the Christmas Card Carousel again this year. Go check out all the other Christmas cards that people have linked up.

Favorite Christmas Movies

One of my favorite things about Christmas is all of the movies! I am a sucker for Hallmark/Lifetime Christmas movies, and try to watch as many as I can each year. But, there are some classic Christmas movies that I can not go without watching every year.

I start off the season watching The Santa Clause. It is my all time favorite Christmas movie.

I bought it on VHS several years ago, and I think it is time to upgrade to DVD.

A few weeks ago, I was on Amazon looking for Christmas Vacation on DVD for Andrew. It is his favorite Christmas movie. While looking, I noticed that they had a Christmas comedy three pack with Christmas Vacation, Elf, and A Christmas Story. I told Andrew about this, and he was so excited about all three of those movies, that I bought the three pack.

It came in the mail last week, and we have already watched all three movies.

Another favorite of mine is Love Actually. I found it on Amazon too for a great price, so I ordered that one for me.

Saturday night, I made a big pot of Beef Stew and we sat down and watched this movie.

Another all time favorite of mine is Home Alone 1 and 2. I need to try to find them on DVD to add to my Christmas movie collection.
So, what are some of your favorite Christmas Movies??

Weekend in Charleston

This past weekend, we took a trip to Charleston to visit Jennifer and Doug. We had a great time and Michael did wonderful on the trip.
We didn't leave till Andrew got home from work on Friday night, so we didn't arrive in Charleston till about 10:30. Julie decided at the last minute to come down for the weekend too. It was great that she came.
Saturday morning, Jennifer made a wonderful breakfast casserole for us, then we all got ready for the day. Andrew, Michael and I went over to Chick-fil-A to see Andrew's old boss, Josh. This was his first chance to meet Michael. It was great to see him and I know Andrew enjoyed spending some time with him. After that, the girls, and Michael went to the Holiday Fair. There were a lot of neat booths, but the only thing we bought was funnel cake and kettle corn.

For Lunch, we all went to Jack's Cosmic Dogs. It was good, and they have tons of different kinds of hot dogs to chose from.
The rest of Saturday was spent hanging out and watching some foot ball games.
Sunday, we got up and went for brunch at Toast. It is in downtown Charleston, and it was really good. After brunch, we went down to the water to take some pictures before it was time to hit the road.
Thanks for a great weekend Jennifer and Doug! We had so much fun and we will definitely be back!

4 Months Old!

What Michael is up to at four months old:
- This past month was all about giving thanks to God for our many blessings. This year, we are most thankful for our precious son, Michael.
- We have been busy this month. We have traveled a lot, and Michael has met a lot of new people.
- For Thanksgiving, we traveled to the Blue Ridge Mountains to visit with some of Andrew's extended family. Everyone was so excited to meet Michael. While we were there, we took a train ride through the mountains with Santa!!
- We also took a trip to Charleston this month to spend the weekend with some friends.
- Michael continues to be a wonderful traveler. He sleeps very well in the car, and being in new places doesn't bother him, and he seems so comfortable wherever we are.
- Michael is now in size 3-6 month clothes. I think he will outgrow them very quickly though. He is growing everyday.
- He has just moved up to size 2 diapers.
- He goes back to the doctor on December 14th for his 4 month appointment. He will get weighed and measured and he will also get his next shot. I can't wait to see how much he weighs now. He is a chunky little guy.
- Michael still hasn't rolled over yet, but we practice rolling over everyday. He loves to lay on his back and play with toys. He will lay on his tummy for a little while, but it's not his favorite thing to do.
- We put together his exersaucer discovery center this week and so far he really likes it. It has all kinds of toys for him to play with, and it will help to build his little leg muscles and get him ready for crawling and walking.
- He still loves music and we continue to play all different kinds for him.
- He smiles and laughs all the time, and every time he does, it brings joy to our hearts.
- He still doesn't have any teeth, but he continues to chew on his fingers and he is always drooling. But, we have heard that he could be teething for months before he actually gets his first tooth. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
- We have already decorated for Christmas and Michael loves to lay on the floor and look up at the lights on the Christmas tree. We are so excited about celebrating Christmas this year.
- We fall more and more in love with Michael everyday, and he has brought so much joy into our lives.
