Thankful Day 12

I am so thankful for my wonderful In-laws! I was able to spend a lot of time with them this weekend helping my MIL work on her Alaska photobook. We laughed a lot, and it was nice spending time together.  Both my MIL and FIL are great people and I was really blessed with a great set of in-laws. They are wonderful Grandparents to Michael and love him so, so much!

Lord, Thank you for blessing me with wonderful In-Laws! They were a wonderful addition to my family 8 years ago and continue to be a special part of our family.

Thankful Day 11

Today is Veteran's day, and I am so thankful for the men and woman who have given their lives for our freedom. I am also thankful for those who continue to fight and put their lives on the line for our country.

God, thank you for the Men and Woman who fight for our freedoms and risk their lives so that we can live ours in peace.

Thankful Day 9 & 10

I forgot to post yesterday, so I will do two today.

I am thankful for my parents. Without their love and support, I would not be the person I am today. They taught me all about God, and made sure we were in church every Sunday. They disciplined me, which wasn't very often ;), and taught me right from wrong. They pray for me and my family. I am so thankful that we have such a great relationship and that we live so close.
My dad put this on Facebook the other day, and thought it was very fitting.
I love you Mom and Dad!


I am also thankful for my three sisters, Sarah, Kelly and Becky. They are not only my sisters, but my friends too. We had great times growing up together. We also had moments that we hated each other. But four girls in one house, that's gonna happen from time to time. I love being an aunt to their children. Having everyone live so close is really a blessing. Family is such an important thing, and I need to cherish it, and not take it for granted.


God, thank you for giving me the family that you did. I love them all so much, and wouldn't trade them for anything.

Thankful Day 8

I am thankful to have 3 wonderful girl friends! Jennifer, Jessica and Julie have been my closest friends for the past 10+ years and can't imagine not having them in my life. They are there for me and always just a call away. I only wish we all lived closer to each other. Although it is nice having an excuse to go to Charleston a couple times a year. Having just one girl friend is such a blessing, and I have been blessed times three.

Thank you God for my dear friends. I can't imagine my life without the support and friendship of these three girls.

Thankful Day 7

I am so thankful for a warm house, especially on a chilly day like today. God blessed us with a house and it is something we definitely don't take for granted. We have made this house a home over the past 7 years and are grateful to be able to do so. There are so many people in the world that don't have a roof over their head.

God, thank you so much for our house. It keeps us warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It protects us from rain and wind, snow and heat.

Thankful Day 6

I am so thankful to live in America! We are so blessed with all of the freedom we have. Today, I exercised my right to vote. Not too long ago, I wouldn't have been able to do that as a woman. I am thankful for my rights, and liberties and for those who fought for those rights.

The election is a huge game changer this year, and I am praying that God's will be done.

Thankful Day 5

I am so incredibly thankful for our jobs. To even have a job is a blessing, but for Andrew and I both to have jobs that we love is just incredible. God answered so many prayers for us, when we we were looking for jobs and the way it all worked out, is very evident that it was the hand of God working it all out.

God, thank you so much for blessing us with jobs. I am so thankful that I can bring Michael with me and not have to put him in daycare. Thank you for allowing Andrew to minister to so many people at work. It makes for a happy home life when he is happy at work.

Thankful Day 4

I am so thankful for adoption. This was a beautiful way to grow our family. I am so thankful to be a part of the adoption community.

God, Thank you so much for the gift of adoption. Thank you for adopting me, and becoming my heavenly father. Thank you for leading us to adoption as the way to grow our family. What a blessing it is!

Thankful day 3

I am so thankful for the most wonderful, cutest, sweetest little boy in the world! Michael is my little miracle and the reason I am a mommy. He makes me laugh and smile, he keeps me on my toes, and he fills my life with so much joy!

God, thank you for hand picking the most perfect little boy to be my child. You heard my prayers and answered them beyond anything I had hoped or dreamed. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thankful Day 2

I am so thankful for my husband, Andrew! He is such a wonderful, strong man with a gentle, quiet side. He is a wonderful father to Michael and Michael sure does love his daddy. He lets me yell, and vent, and has no judgement when I come back to apologize. He understands me, although it has taken him several years, and if you asked him, he would say that he is no closer to understanding me now, than he was 12 years ago when we met. There is no one else I would rather have as my partner and best friend. I Love You, Andrew!

God, You knew exactly what I needed in a husband, and you gave him to me. He is calm, when I get excited. He is strong, when I am weak. He holds me up and supports me. Thank you for giving me Andrew as a husband. And thank you for leading him, so that he can lead our family.
