Finley Katie

Finley Kate
10/14/12
So on Sunday, we were planning on going to the beach, since Michael loved looking at the Ocean when we were on vacation. Julie called us and said she was having contractions. Not really sure if it was the real thing or not, since she still had 3-4 weeks until her due date. We told her we would come over  to sit with her, until Steve got home from church. Well, while we were on our way, she called us back to say that her contractions were about 3 minutes apart, and once we got there, they were headed to the hospital, so we had to stay with Coleman at the house. They arrived at the hospital at 11:45 am and baby Finley made her debut at 12:30! Talk about fast!! We couldn't believe it! I am so excited that I was there and able to see the baby right after she was born!

Friends

On Monday, Michael and I got to go play with our best friends! Julie, Coleman, and Jennifer were up visiting family, so we were all able to get together at Jessica and Lydia's house for lunch and play time. It was so good to spend time with them and to watch the babies play together.
Here are just a few pictures from the day.

Babies Adventure in Charleston

WARNING: This post has a TON of Pictures

This past week, I spent a fun week in Charleston, with my three best friends, and their babies. We had a great week, just hanging out and spending some great quality time together.

Jessica and I drove down Monday afternoon. What was supposed to be a 3.5-hour drive, turned into a 7-hour drive! We ran into a horrible accident on the interstate, and were stopped in traffic for way too long. Then they detoured everyone through a small town, and that just added to the mess. On top of the wreck, and the detour, both babies (Michael and Lydia) were leaking out of their diapers. It was not a pretty picture. At one point, I got in the back seat, in between the car seats, and tried to keep the babies happy. It worked, but it made for one stressed out Mama.

We finally arrived at Julie's house, to find out that her A/C had gone out, and that we couldn't stay with her. So, we got back in the car, and drove to Jennifer's house. It is a good thing they both live down there, or we would have been getting a hotel room.

Vacationing with 3, one year olds is not exactly what you would call relaxing. It was a lot of fun though. For the most part, we hung around Jennifer’s house.
We did spend some time at the pool, and all of the babies really enjoyed that. Jennifer has a great park near her house, so we spent some time there as well.

We also went to the beach. Our reason was to get pictures of the babies and after about an hour, we were all ready to head back to the house.

The rest of the days was spent coordinating naps and meals. After the babies went to bed each night, we got out the games and had a great time. We laughed so hard!

I love these girls so much, and I am so blessed to have them in my life. I especially love that we are all doing the “Momma” thing together.

Dinner with Friends

On Saturday Night, we had Jessica, Chris and Lydia over for dinner.
Lydia loved hugging Michael and occasionally biting him too.

We had such a great time talking and watching the babies play together.

This is the first time in a long time that we have been able to have someone over for dinner.

When Andrew worked at Chick-fil-A, he was usually working Friday and Saturday nights, so that didn't leave us much time to have friends over.

Just one more perk to him working at BMW!

Babies, Babies, Babies

Last week, my friends and I got together to celebrate Christmas and Julie's birthday. It was such a fun afternoon!
It's always fun to get all the babies together. They are getting to wear they will look at each other and watch what the other one is doing. This seems to be very entertaining for them. Now for some pictures.

It was so much fun getting together, and can't wait to do it again real soon!

Baby Party

On Friday night, my friends and I all got together for a baby party. Three of the  four of us have become mothers all within 5 months of each other.
It was so much fun to have all the babies together. In a few months it will be close to impossible to get them to all sit still long enough to get a picture of them together. Here are some pictures from our fun night.

I love how Michael is looking right at the camera.
I'm so blessed to have such wonderful friends, and to all be going through the same thing at the same time is so great.
