Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort Vacation - Day 1
We spent a wonderful 8 nights / 9 days at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort in early May, and I figured I should blog about our trip.
Lets start with Day 1.
We drove down on Saturday, May 9. Andrew's cousin and her daughter were just leaving Hilton Head, so we made a plan to meet for lunch. We ate at Giuseppi's, which never disappoints. After lunch it was time to check in.
Our room was ready when we checked in, so we went right to it and unloaded the car.
Then it was time to put on our swimsuits, and get to the pool. Michael loved riding his bike everywhere!
After swimming and exploring the resort, we headed to Publix to get some groceries for the week, and some fried chicken for dinner.

Our Vero Beach Vacation
Our vacation to Vero Beach was perfect! We had such a great time and were able to relax and just enjoy our time as a family.
We stayed at the Disney Vacation Club resort. This was our second time there. The last time we were here, in 2009, it rained all week long! We had much better weather this time.
We checked in on Saturday afternoon and went straight to the pool. There was a little pirate ship toddler play area, but Michael preferred the the big pool and the big water slide.

The ocean was way too rough for Michael to play in, but he loved to look at the ocean, and watch the big waves.
We ate some wonderful meals on vacation. On Sunday morning we went to brunch buffer and we all ate our fill. On Monday evening was the pirate dinner with Goofy and Donald. Michael loved the characters from a distance, but once they got close, he got really shy. Of course, he does that with people he knows too.
We ate off property one night at Squid Lips. It was really good food, with a great view!Saturday morning was Goofy's Breakfast buffet with Goofy and Donald.
We didn't do anything too exciting on vacation. It was just nice to get away and relax for 8 days!

Vacation 2010
I know, some of you are thinking, "How can she be talking about vacation for next year?" Well, Vacation is something I look forward to all year long, so as soon as I can plan our vacation for the next year, I do. We had a lot of different thoughts about vacation this year. I had it narrowed down to Puerto Rico, Cancun, and Hilton Head. I did a lot of research on all the different places, and read a ton of reviews about each resort. It all really came down to what would be the most economical (Cheap) vacation. I called Member Services today, and we will be celebrating our 6th anniversary in Hilton Head Island, SC.
We will be staying at the Disney Vacation Club Resort. (Which we are members of)
We spent a week there in May, 2006 and have wanted to go back ever since.
Hilton Head is a great vacation spot. It's not very "touristy" and that is what we love most about it.
I'm sure I will be writing more about this as it gets closer. Only 207 more days!
