Garden update

My garden is growing nicely. I have one large tomato, and two tiny tomatoes on the plants. My pepper plant has several blooms, just waiting to turn into little jalapeƱos. It won't be long till all of the plants are full of veggies!

Vegetable Garden 2012

I finally planted a few vegetable plants last week. I usually do this in late April, but I kinda forgot. Oops, oh well. At least I got a few. I planted two tomato plants, and a basil plant. Then this weekend, I added two jalapeno pepper plants.

I love using the containers for my garden. Besides the fact that I just don't have a good sunny spot in my yard for a garden, this is a lot easier to plant and clean up at the end.

And while I was planting my garden, this is what Michael was doing...

He had a blast and he wasn't making a mess, that's a win...win...

Vegetable Garden Update

My Vegetable plants are doing so great!
All three of my tomato plants have tomatoes on them! My squash plant has baby squash on it! and my pepper plant is so close to having a pepper on it.I also planted some peas and green beans from seed, and they are finally big enough to plant in a bigger pot.
Won't be long until I'm eating a fresh tomato from my garden!!

Vegetable Garden - Week 3

My garden is doing so well. I now have two more tomatoes on two of my tomato plants!
This is my Roma Tomato Plant.
This is my Patio Tomato plant. You can see the little tomato with a bigger tomato behind it.
My squash plant is still growing like crazy, no blooms yet. My pepper plant is growing really well, and there is a hint of a bloom starting, but it was too small to even get a picture of. My third tomato plant is getting big, but no blooms yet. I know it is still early, and I have never had a plant get fruit as early as I have this year. It is so exciting to know that in just a few weeks I will be eating home grown tomatoes!!

Garden Update

My garden is one week old, and there has been a lot of progress made. Check out my pepper and squash plant. I think they both doubled in size. Two of the three tomato plants have baby tomatoes on them!! I am so excited to watch the little tomatoes grow over the next few weeks.
(Just a side note, but did you notice Andrew in some of these pictures. I think it is neat that you can see him through the deck rails, riding his lawn mower.)

My first tomatoes

Here are the tomatoes that Andrew got to pick yesterday. They sure do look good. I can't wait to get home and eat them. Yummy! There isn't much better than just off the vine tomatoes.

My first Vegetable of the season!

Look at what I picked from my garden yesterday !!

Everything else is coming along nicely too. I'm just waiting for all of those tomatoes to turn red. Here is the first one starting to turn.
I have bushes full of big tomatoes, but none of them seem to be in a hurry to turn red.
I look like a proud Mama to that little zucchini.

Vegetable Garden - Week 6

Here are the latest pictures of my vegetable garden. Things are progressing nicely. It shouldn't be too much longer before I get to eat some of these veggies. I now have actually veggies on every plant. Yes, some are smaller than others, but at least they are producing fruit! All the rain we have been getting has been great for my garden.
