Planes!

One of Michael's birthday presents from us, was going to see the new movie, Planes. Every time Michael saw anything to do with the movie, he got so excited, so I knew he would love the movie.

We went last Tuesday night and Michael had a great time. He didn't move from his seat almost the entire time. He did have to go the bathroom, but other than that, he just sat and stared at the movie.

Since then, he has told anyone who will listen, that he saw the planes movie. I am actually thinking about taking him to see it again, because he liked it so much.

The Blind Side - My Review

I Loved it! Such a good movie. It was such a heartwarming movie. I laughed and cried. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I love Sandra Bullock, and she was great in this movie.
I think I'm going to get the book to read. I've heard that the movie is different from the book, so I would like to see what all they left out, or added to the movie.

Birthday Weekend Extravaganza!

This past weekend I celebrated my 27th Birthday! Andrew had Saturday off, so we decided to spend the day celebrating my birthday! OK, I decided, and he went along with it. So, we got up and headed to Greenville. First on our agenda was lunch. One of Andrew's favorite places to eat in Greenville is Taco Casa. (Think Taco Bell, only better and local) Lunch was yummy. Then we went to his parents house to visit. We were there for a few hours and then it was time to go get my iPhone!! I have been wanting one since Andrew got his in March, but I had to wait until my current contract with Sprint was up. So, to the AT&T store we went. After we got my phone we went to the movies to see Julie & Julia.
The movie was very good. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but it was still good.

After the movie we went to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants - Portofino's. Some of the best Italian food ever! My Dear Friend Jessica and her husband joined us for dinner. That was about it for Saturday. It was a pretty full day.

Sunday was church and then Andrew's parents took us to MiMi's Cafe for lunch. After lunch we went to their house so I could open my birthday presents! I had asked for Money from both his parents and my parents so I could get a new digital camera; and that is exactly what I got. I also got this cute flag for in front of my house.
Sunday evening was spent at home, just me and Andrew.
Monday was my actual Birthday, but I still had to go to work. My boss did let me leave early though, which was very nice of him. When I got home from work, Andrew asked me if I wanted to open my present. A few weeks ago, I picked out and bought my birthday present from him. Did you follow that? Instead of him shopping and getting the wrong thing. I tell him what I want, and then he tells me to go get it. So, this is what I got a few weeks ago. A Cricut Jukebox that holds 6 cartridges at one time;
and two new cartridges. A friend of mine, that I scrapbook with, was getting rid of her Cricut and all the accessories, so that is where I bought them, and so I got a great deal. I got all three items for the price of one Cartridge.
So when Andrew asked if I wanted to open my present, I had no idea what it could be.

A Digital Picture Frame! I have wanted one of these for a while, and he remembered! He also got me not one, but two cards!
Our plans for dinner were to go to Kanpai Japanese steakhouse with my parents. Before dinner, we went to Sam's to look at digital cameras, and I bought one! I got a Nikon CoolPix s560! My old camera is a Nikon, and I really like it, so I figured I would just stick with what works.

We left Sam's and went to meet my parents at the restaurant. They are babysitting Leilani while Becky and Jeff are at the beach celebrating their anniversary, so she was there too.

Dinner was a lot of fun, and very good.
Here are some pictures from Dinner:

So, 3 days of celebrating, 4 restaurants, lots of love, & 1 year older. I'm looking forward to what my 27th year will bring. Thank you to everyone who made my birthday so enjoyable.
I Love you all!

What a wonderful Weekend!

This past weekend was one of the best weekends in a while. For starters, it was unusually warm all weekend. This warm weather has me in the mood for spring. Friday I only had to work 2 hours, so I got to sleep in. Then I went to get my hair done. I was in desperate need to get my highlights touched up, and a hair cut. After that, I went to my parents house to watch Grey's Anatomy. They have a DVR, and since I was scrapbookin' on Thursday night, I missed Grey's. I then headed home to make a dessert for our Girls Night out. I will share that in another post this week. But watch for it, because Blackberry Crunch Cake = Delicious! Girls night out was so much fun, and I was happy to be able to spend it with my sisters and my Mom.
Saturday morning, my sweet puppies woke me up before 8:00 am, so much for sleeping in on my day off. I had a some errands to run, so I was out the door at 9:00 to go to the post office. I had made plans with my MIL to have lunch with her and my Sister-in-law, and niece. So, I headed to Greenville to meet them for lunch. We had a great lunch at Adam's Bistro. After lunch, we went to AC Moore. They were having a Scrapbook Saturday event. They had some great sales going on, and were demoing some great products. My sweet MIL bought me some scrapbook stuff for my upcoming trip to Europe. We then headed to the Mall to stop by Belk quickly. Then back to their house. I have completed my scrapbook pages for our trip to Disney, and all of my Christmas pages, so I brought my albums for them to see. After a lovely afternoon with my in-laws, I headed home. I stopped by my parent's house on the way home, because my Mom had DVRed (is that even a word) Friday Night Lights for me, while we were at the Girls Night Out. So I sat and talked with her for a long time, and caught up on my shows. It isn't very often that there isn't anyone else at my parent's house. With 3 sisters, and 8 nieces/nephews, my parents house seems to be the gathering place for the family. It was nice just sitting and talking with my Mom, without being interrupted by children.

Sunday, I had plans to meet Andrew for lunch and a movie in Salisbury, NC. That is about half way from where we live to where he is working for the month. We didn't really know what was in Salisbury, so when we got there, decided to eat at the China buffet. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I'm not a big fan of Buffet's, but this one had such a huge variety, and everything I tried was good. After lunch we went to see Paul Blart Mall Cop. It was a funny movie. I don't think it will win any Academy Awards, but it was still good. After the movie, we went to Circuit City. It was having a major "going out of business" sale, so Andrew got 2 Cd's and a DVD. I would have loved to get a GPS, or new digital camera, but $130 is a lot to spend on an impulse buy. We had a great day, and it was nice to be able to spend time together. I will see him again this weekend for Valentine's weekend.
I have a busy week this week, so I will have lots to blog about.

Girl's Night

Friday Night, my sister, Becky, and I had a girl's night out! Both of our husband's were out of town, and Grandma had Leilani, so we went to the movies and out to dinner. We saw Bride Wars - and let me tell you, it was hilarious! It was only rated PG too. I appreciate a good, clean movie. If you get the chance to see it, you should definitely go. After the movie we went to Applebee's. I had a gift card, and Andrew isn't a big fan of Applebee's, so this was the perfect time to go. I haven't spent time with Becky, just by ourselves, in a long time. It was a great Girl's Night Out!

Four Christmases

Andrew and I went to see Four Christmases on Thanksgiving Day. It was a really cute movie, and put me in the Christmas Spirit. I would definitely recommend going to see it sometime during the Holiday season.

Fireproof

Andrew and I went to see Fireproof today. It was great! I laughed, I cried, and I got a good perspective of what some married couples go through. I would highly recommend going to see this movie. I am so Thankful for a Wonderful Husband and a solid marriage. No, we are not perfect, but because of the forgiveness that is offered to us from God, we are open to giving that forgiveness to each other. I love you Andrew, and am so blessed to call you my husband.

Kung Fu Panda

Andrew and I went to see Kung Fu Panda this weekend. It was really cute. Jack Black was very funny, as usual. I would definitely recommend it.
