My Latest Crochet Project

This is the latest crochet project that I have been working on. This is different then any other baby blanket I've done. I think it turned out really nice. And of course I had to make a matching hat.

My Cricut has arrived!!

I received my Cricut in the mail yesterday, and was anxious to get it home and play with it. It is very easy to operate, and it can do a lot. I'm still learning what all it can do. I have figured out the basics. Here are some pictures of what I did last night. On the scrapbook page, the Cricut was used to do the letters "Girls Weekend" and the two small pink flowers. On the bottom two pictures, the Cricut was used for the letter "J".

My New Craft Room

Since we bought our house, 3 years ago, Andrew has had his own "Drum Room" and we have had a Guest Bedroom / storage room. This weekend I decided it was time for me to have my own room; A Craft Room. So Andrew and I took down the bed in the guest room and got rid of it. Last night I spent several hours sorting through boxes and closets trying to get rid of some stuff. I have several boxes ready to be donated, and a huge pile of stuff to be thrown away. Why do we keep stuff for years and years. My recycle bin is completely full of old magazines. My plan is to get all of the "junk" cleaned out, so I can set up all my craft stuff. There is a built in corner desk in the room, so that comes in handy. I also bought a 4 ft. table to put in there. I have several storage containers and drawers to keep my crafting items in. I will post pictures when I am done. Now, I can actually have a dining room table again. For the last 6-8 months, my dining room table has been taken over by Scrapbooking and Stamping. Hopefully I can get this all done by the end of the week.

Dinner with Family

Last night, my sister Kelly invited me over for dinner. She is a great cook (she gets that from our mom). She made some chicken/noodle/vegetable thing, which was very good. She even made home made rolls and peach cobbler for dessert!! I was very impressed. After dinner, Clara and Lindy showed me their new Bunny, Sally. They also showed me their new bunk beds. Clara filled me in on what she does all day in Kindergarden, and Lindy told me what her and Mommy do all day while Clara is at school. I had a great time hanging out with them and I am so greatful to have family living so close that we get to hang out like that. Thank you Kelly for a great night! I Love you and your Family so much.

Friday Five!

My week has been pretty boring, but I have had some nice moments during the week. In fact, I've probably had at least Five!
1. Winning my new Cricut on ebay! I got a great deal!!
2. Finally completing my Mexico Scrapbook.
3. Getting together with my neighbor to scrapbook.
4. Going to Spartanburg to meet Becky and Leilani for lunch & some shopping.
5. My dogs have let me sleep through the night 4 out of 5 nights!

My New Toy

I have been wanting one of these for a long time and I decided to get one with My birthday money. I bougt it last night on-line so I hope it gets here by this weekend so I can play with it. It does some really neat things. I will post more about it, after I get to play with it a little.

Monday Blues...

Well, another weekend has come and gone, and it is Monday again. Monday is my least favorite day. Back to work, back to getting up early, back to going to bed early.
