May 9, 2010

Today is Mother's Day. It was also my due date. This is a day that I have been dreading ever since September 22, 2009, the day I heard the most horrible news, there was no baby. I haven't ever blogged about being pregnant, or about my miscarriage, simply because it was too difficult. But today, instead of sadness, anger, grief, or sorrow, I am filled with hope and a peace that only comes from God. I have been praying for the past 8 months, that God would give me His peace and hope. I fully expected to be filled with sadness today, but God provides, even when we doubt.
I was able to spend the morning with my Mom at her church, which was such a blessing. I was doing so good all morning, until a sweet lady from my Bible Study came up to me and said, "Happy Mother's Day Katie, next year." She is praying and believing that this time next year, I will be a mother. It was such a sweet thing to hear, and again, I was filled with hope. I know that God has a plan for me, and that His plan is going to be better then anything I could have ever dreamed of.
Now to Him who is able to do Immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
Ephesians 3:20-21

I love you, Katie!! My heart was aching for you this past week. But God kept reminding me that "in His time He makes all things beautiful". God is faithful... and He knows the desires of your heart. Keep your eyes focused on Him and He will make your paths straight. Love you, dearest daughter in law!!!

I Love you Katie, I was happy to spend the day with you and I do believe that God has a very special plan for you. It is so hard to sit back and wait on Him.
But I am excited to see what He is going to do for you.

Thought and prayed for you specifically on Mother's day! I had little elderly ladies that prayed that same prayer for me. I am trusting God with you!
