This week, I am thankful for:
- My singing telegram
- That my Dad is ok after falling off a ladder - aside from a banged up ankle
- My neighbor inviting me over to scrapbook with her
- My Vegetable garden - I love my Tomato plants!
- Being able to spend the whole weekend with Andrew!
Praise the LORD. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

I got my first Singing Telegram!
Yesterday was apparently Singing Telegram Day, and to my surprise, one showed up at my house. Clara and Lindy came to my house and sang to me and Andrew. They also brought us a giant Hershey Bar. It was a very pleasant surprise!

Warning...You may cry
Eliot was born with an undeveloped lung, a heart with a hole in it and DNA that placed faulty information into each and every cell of his body. However, that could not stop the living God from proclaiming Himself through this boy who never uttered a word.

Friday Five!
Andrew and I are always talking about our next vacation, so I thought that would be a good topic for my very first "Friday Five".
Where are five places (cities, states, countries, etc.) you would like to visit?
1. Australia
2. Germany - to visit Jennifer
3. Hawaii
4. The Grand Canyon
5. The Cayman Islands
Leave me a comment with your list.
Have a good weekend!!

Thankful Thursday
There are so many things in my life that I am Thankful for, but this week especially, I am thankful for:
- Andrew – loving me and knowing what is best for us, even if I don’t like it sometimes.
- Maggie being well enough to come home from the hospital.
- My family - for encouraging me everyday
- No cavities – I had a checkup this week.
- Molly and Toby – who love me unconditionally, even when I leave them by themselves all day long.
- The new look of my blog – so cute!

Toilet Paper cover anyone...
Andrew's Granny asked me to make one of these a long time ago, and this past weekend, I finally just sat down and made it. It didn't take that long and I think he turned out pretty good. She had given me one to use as a pattern that she bought several years ago. I gave it to her on Sunday and she loved it. She wants me to make one for everyone for Christmas gifts. So, you might be getting a sneak peak at your Christmas gift for this year.

Exciting News!!!
Starting tomorrow, Andrew will be running the Chick-fil-A at the Greenwood Mall. It is only an interim position right now, but this will lead into great things for him. I am so excited that this is finally happening. He started with Chick-fil-A two years ago, and it seemed like this day would never come. So, if you are ever in Greenwood, stop by the mall and say hello to Andrew.

What a wonderful Weekend!
We had a great weekend. Friday was a busy day. We were up early getting everything ready for the Master of the Grill competition. We spent all day at my parents house enjoying the 4th with family and stayed late enjoying the fireworks. Here are a few more pictures from the day.
Saturday we were able to sleep in and get some much needed sleep. Saturday afternoon I had the chance to talk to Jennifer Baskin. With her living in Germany, we don't get to talk too often. Sunday I spent the day with my in-laws and didn't get back to Gaffney till 7:00 pm.
I'm hoping the first part of this week goes by quickly because Thursday, I leave to go to Edisto Island. My parents are there now, and invited me to go down for the weekend. Andrew can't come, so I invited Jessica to come with me. We are both super excited about the trip.
Hope everyone had a great week!!

Master of the Grill 2007
Master of the Grill 2007
Last year we started a tradition in my family that we hope continues for many years:
Master of the Grill!
All of the men in my family bring their grills to my parents house for a 4th of July cook off. They all have to cook Baby Back Ribs. Last year there were 4 men competing, but this year we have 5 participants: My Dad, and all the Son-in-laws; Andrew, Will, Jeff, Matt. We will have a panel of "Judges" deciding who's ribs are the best.
Last year they were required to do two items. The highest combined total score won. Andrew won for the Chicken and Matt won for the ribs. But Andrew won the title of Master of the Grill 2007 since he had the highest combined score. All of the men are practicing and getting their rubs and sauces ready for this Friday. Since they are only being judged on one item this year, It's winner takes all. I can't wait to see who wins. I will post on Saturday with pictures and to let you know who won. Here are some pictures from last year's competition.

My Dad did a Hawaiian Theme. Can you tell??
Will's finished products. He decided to do chicken fingers rather then grilled chicken.
