Wednesday was another resort day. After going to bed pretty early, we were all up by 6:00 am! Andrew ran down to get coffee and some breakfast.
After breakfast, we got our bathing suits on and went to the pool. And that is where we stayed until nap time. We grabbed some lunch while we were at the pool too.
Around 1:00, the boys went to the room to nap, and I went to Walmart to get some souviniers.
The boys were waking up when I got back , so we put our bathing suits back on and went back to the pool.
On the way down, we stopped at the 2 bedroom villa they had open for DVC tours. It's was an ocean view room, and it was beautiful!
Back at the pool we enjoyed our daily shave ice! They were a must for us at least once a day!
Michael finally decided that the menehune bridge was fun! He found the slide that didn't have any water squirting on him when he slid down. Then he had to figure out how to get around and back up without water dumping all over him.
We ended up running through with him most of the time, so there is a lack of pictures from the menehune bridge.
At about 5:00, we were done with the pool and decided it was time for dinner. Andrew wanted to go to Ramen Ya, a noodle place, to eat, so we went to check it out. Before we left the room, we were on our balcony, and saw that Chip and Dale were out on the lawn, so we stopped by to say hi to them, before dinner.
The noodle place was really good and really cheap! It is on the same exit at the Walmart. You get a giant bowl of noodles, and then whatever you order in it. I got chicken and Andrew got a lot in his. I'm not really sure what all he got, sorry. Michael really liked the noodles and chicken too!
One of the things I was most excited about seeing in Hawaii, were beautiful sunsets. I just love a pretty sunset! So I told Andrew we had to be done with dinner in time to watch the sunset.
We made it! And it was so worth the hassle! Especially since this was the only pretty sunset we got all week!
We drove past the resort about a mile and there is a lookout spot right across from the power plant. It was the perfect place to watch the sunset!

After watching the sunset, we drove around the resort area, to see what other hotels were in the area and look at the other lagoons in the area.
Once back in our room, we watched a movie and went to bed.
Up next, North Shore and looking for turtles!!

Beautiful sunset pictures! Did you find the pools to be less crowded in the morning than in the afternoon? Just trying to plan ahead.
Nancy,
The pools seemed a little more crowded in the afternoon between 1-4. We would get there right after breakfast, so around 8:30, and it was practically empty. Also, when we were there, it wasn't really crowded at all since it was before the "summer" season. We never had a problem finding 3 chairs together, and usually with an umbrella. We were there Memorial Day weekend, and it got really crowded that Sunday and Monday. We kept saying to each other, "What happened to our quiet resort?"
Dad loves the noodles too, or Si-men must be a man thing !
Michael loves them too! So it must be in the "man gene"
